Featured Authors at the Dahlonega Literary Festival are nationally-known and represent a variety of genres, and they are invited to attend the festival. They will be available for book signings, and their books will be on sale at the festival bookstore. The next festival is March 7, 2026.

 

We no longer will have a “Regional Writer” designation at the festival because we now—especially for them—co-sponsor the North Georgia Regional Book Fair in September.

The North Georgia Regional Book Fair is where we celebrate new, emerging, and regional writers. Authors at the book fair may have published with traditional publishers or self-published. They may have written several books or perhaps just one. Usually, they are from the Southeastern United States, but we accept applications from authors who live anywhere.​

​Applications for the September 2026 book fair will be available in mid-March 2026.
