Brian Panowich is an award winning author and father. His first novel, Bull Mountain won the ITW Award for Best Debut Novel, as well as the Pat Conroy Award for Best Mystery. The book was also nominated for the Barry Award, the Anthony Award, The Georgia Townsend Book Prize, and was a finalist for the LA Times Book Prize. His second novel, Like Lions, won him Georgia Author of the Year, while his latest, Hard Cash Valley, was just released in April 2020 to both critical and commercial acclaim.

Brian’s short stories and essays appear in numerous prestigious publications including BEST AMERICAN MYSTERY STORIES and ONE STORY LITERARY MAGAZINE.

His books are available internationally and have been printed in eight different languages. 

Brian also maintains a popular monthly opinion column in Augusta Magazine appropriately called Scattered & Covered, and he is currently developing a treatment and script for MARVEL COMICS co-written with his daughter, Talia Panowich.
